What «Practitioner of the Path» means
The licence is a method licence — the same arrangement Rolfing, Feldenkrais and Bowen work with. The method has an originator, its practice is tied to conditions, and whoever stops meeting the conditions loses the permission. Not their skill — the name.
The four conditions
Having walked the way. All six stages, on yourself.
Having completed the training. Ten modules with examinations.
Accompanied cases. People taken through several stages, documented, discussed in the Sangha.
The Sangha. The group meets four times a year. Anyone who attends fewer than two meetings in twelve months has their licence dormant — the name is not listed in the register and is not carried. One meeting brings it back. After twenty-four months without a meeting it lapses.
The Sangha is not a loyalty requirement. It is the place where you can say that you are stuck with a client. A method that works with trauma is not practised alone.
What the licence allows
- Practising the method with your own clients, for your own fee
- Carrying the name Practitioner of the Path, or Begleiterin des Pfades
- Using the school’s mark in your own presentation
- Working from the Master Dossier as your own reference
What it does not allow
- Teaching the method. Only the school trains.
- Copying, passing on or publishing the materials
- Offering the method altered under this name
- Suggesting that Jeffrey Yuen stands behind the training
What it costs
The first year is included in the training. From the second year CHF 360 — thirty francs a month for the register entry, the material, and the right to carry the name. Plus CHF 40 per Sangha evening, two of which a year are the condition.
The licence is meant to carry itself, not to earn. That is why the Sangha fee is low enough that nobody stays away over money — because the licence hangs on exactly that attendance.
And what it is not
Not a state-recognised qualification, not a protected title, not a professional authorisation and no basis for billing health or supplementary insurers.
Every licence holder works independently, in her own professional responsibility, and carries her own professional liability insurance.
